With a career spanning 35 years, Derrin has been at the forefront of sports journalism, covering both professional and college sports. His extensive experience includes writing, hosting, anchoring, reporting, and providing play-by-play commentary for major networks. Derrin has reported from Super Bowls, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, and NCAA Final Fours. A seven-time Emmy Award winner, he has had the privilege of covering sports legends such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Jim Brown, Muhammed Ali, Derek Jeter, Wayne Gretzky, and Tiger Woods. A proud alumnus of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, Derrin is also a seasoned voice-over actor, having spent a decade as one of the voices of NFL Films. Currently residing in Los Angeles, he has been the Main Sports Anchor at KTLA-TV for the past fourteen years.
